This level is fairly easy. Just keep moving ahead until you reach the Goal. After the Midway Point there will be a pipe with some Prize Boxes inside that feature some coins and a P-Switch. Other than that, there are no other rooms in the level. There is a tall Warp Pipe and a Triangle that only appears in this level but was prominant in Super Mario Word near the Goal. To scale the pipe, simply run into it. This is one of the only levels that has no ASM.
Demos it appears in:Edit
- Demo 6
- Demo 6.5

- Overworld Demo
Dragon Coin 1Edit
To get the first Dragon Coin, jump off the first ledge, following the coins.
Dragon Coin 2Edit
To get the second Dragon Coin, remove the turn blocks above the warp pipe you find and enter it. A nearby angled pipe will shoot you out and into the second coin and through the Midway Point. Note that if you attempt to move towards the Midway Point during the fall, you will not make it and will have to jump and get it one you hit the ground.
Dragon Coin 3Edit
Dragon Coin 3 resids on top of the pipe with the P-Switch in it. Take the P-Switch out of the pipe and use it to turn the coins next to the pipe into Used Blocks. Scale the used blocks, and get the Dragon Coin.
Dragon Coin 4Edit
You will find Coin 4 along your path, guarded by a Splitin' Chuck and a Banzai Bill.
Dragon Coin 5Edit
Dragon Coin 5 is by the final pipe.
- Koopa Troopa
- Jumping Piranha Plant
- Koopa Paratroopa
- Beach Koopa
- Splitin' Chuck
- Banzai Bill
The ground, hills, and clouds in this stage are graphics from the game Yoshi's Island. The stage itself has a fair amount of pipes from Super Mario World.
The music in Journey's Beginning is "Here We Go!" from Super Mario World.
The music used in this level is BGM 37 (30 in demoOnly1): "The Main Theme" from the Legend of Valkyrie.
